Looking like a real house again!

This Saturday my parents and I WORKED!  We got the floors sanded and my mom raked leaves until her hands were bleeding!  The house is looking phenomenal! Thanks Mom and Dad for all of your hard work this weekend!  Love you!

New Windows! New Roof!

 We are moving right along! The new roof is coming up and my new windows are almost all in!  I have to say, despite the still Americano look we have going on here with the paint, it is looking FANTASTIC! 

My pantry.  The original shelves were covered in, wait for it....rat poop!  I am very glad to get rid of those! 

 The wall is totally gone!  It makes the space look so much bigger!

 We lost the big window with the crank-outs due to termites.  :(  I could not be more torn up about this.  The upside in this picture...no more awful redwhiteandblue awning!!!

Week Two of Reno!

Me, in front of the house, after a LONG weekend.  We took 8 kids to Arlington for a Student Council Conference.  I learned A LOT and had a ton of fun, but I am worn out!

Week One of Reno!

The house had changed so much after Day One!  Our handyman is working super fast, and at this pace I am going to be in next week!  Okay...maybe not next week.

Somebody whacked the hell outta these walls with a hammer, so looks like we're re-sheetrocking the place. 

So far, it is looking so good!  The title says first week, but this actually happened over just TWO days!  I'm so impressed with the progress already!!  I picked out tile, appliances, and bathroom stuff this weekend, so now I'm ready to put it all together!  :)

I HAVE BOUGHT A HOUSE! 

Not just any house, but a house that needs LOADS of work.  A house that at the moment is a complete dump!  A house that when I'm finished with it, will be a dollhouse that I love.  I'm revamping my blog from teaching to renovating  to show the progress of 807!
